Hatefree generation

This might be the biggest of them all. What world, what kind of society do we want to pass on to our children? In order to give them a better, more loving world, we should aim to lay down the basis for an hate free generation. We have to do the work now, so they can enjoy living a more loving and caring life.

Children come into this world crystal clear, curious and open to anything. They are not polluted with judgment and hate, they are taught that along the way. We are the ones teaching them. If we start living lovingly, they will too. Not because we teach them how to, because they already know. It’s default. But because we stop teaching them to hate, to judge and bully.

Story

I’ve heard this story once about a 7 year old girl telling a classmate that ‘your parents are just working class people’. You know that 7 year old didn’t come up with something like that herself! Adults in her life feed her this kind of talk and judgement.

If you have children, you know they repeat what you say. It’s sure happened to me. I’d have a bad day and nothing seemed to work out. Dropping something for the 5th time might make me drop a ‘f*ck’. My two or three year old repeats it happily. Immediately you are reminded to stop using this language in front of them. Children effortlessly copy the things we do. They see how we treat ourselves, the people around us and strangers too. They will copy this. We have to give the good example, be the example. Be mindful about this, let’s not pollute the ever so loving souls of our little ones. That way and that way only we can leave them a loving world. Even if we are not around anymore to enjoy a hate free world, we should still plant the trees in the shade of which our children can enjoy.
